Description
You can also take advantage of the global DC charging station network (CHAdeMO stations) to use. To do this, you must activate the appropriate hardware in the vehicle and purchase an external adapter. The charging power of CHAdeMO stations is up to 43 kW or 108 km range per hour.
This adapter, only available for the European market, is specifically designed for the Model S and Model X. At A different adapter is required for vehicle versions for North America, Japan, Australia and China. On Model S without If supercharging is activated, the on-board electrical system must be set to use the CHAdeMO adapter. With every new Model S and Model X has Supercharging already activated.
The CHAdeMO adapter for Model S and Model X is not currently supported on Model 3.

Many CHAdeMO charging stations require membership in the operator's network for billing. Usage information is typically listed at the charging station. Performance and charging rates of the charging stations can vary.
Note: If Supercharging is not activated, a software update must be carried out in a service before using the Supercharger center.
